About Legacy

Love Christ.  Strengthen Family.  Pursue Excellence.  Serve Others.

The educational experience at Legacy Christian School can be summed up in these 4 guiding principles. For more than 25 years, Legacy Christian School has been providing a first-rate education in the heart of Hamilton County. We believe that it is only through the transforming power of Christ working in and through us that can we become living examples of these four pillars to a world in need of hope.

At Legacy Christian School, every child is precious, cared for and loved. The Legacy community truly is a family.  Our Christ-centered approach, small class sizes, and professional staff are the right combination to create an environment where children do not fall through the cracks.  Every day our students are truly seen and met where they are. Our students go home excited about learning and having the assurance that they are loved.

Through our highly competitive academic programs that embrace Biblical teachings, our students are building a foundation for a lifetime. Education is individualized to the needs of each child and illuminates Christ in each subject.  We are not affiliated with any specific denomination and our students come from a variety of churches.  Legacy Christian School feels like a family as students, parents, and faculty together focus on following Jesus and helping students mature in Christ.

The vision of Legacy Christian School is to be a leader in Christian education where students are academically and spiritually prepared to become our next generation of leaders, shining the light of Christ in the world.

The mission of Legacy Christian School is to partner with families to develop servant leaders through an excellent Christ-centered education.

An inheritance handed down from one generation to the next. The need to hand down an excellent education to the next generation has never been greater in America. Scholarship, character and leadership must be nurtured among students today in order to pave the way for a successful future. Grounding students in a Christian worldview prepares them to become future godly leaders in our cities, our nation and our world; in business, in politics and in homes across America. The integration of faith and academics enables students to become a continual source of positive influence for Jesus Christ as they mature toward adulthood.

Legacy Christian School focuses on our four Guiding Principles as we serve our students from preschool through high school.

Love Christ

  • In order to love Christ we must know Christ, and it is only when we know Christ that we can love like Christ.
  • In our classrooms students learn about who Jesus is, and what He has done for them. They are taught that their identity is in Christ.
  • As we grow in our affection and love for Christ, we become more like Christ.

Strengthen Family

  • We recognize that the primary responsibility for discipling and educating children lies with the family.  Our desire is to partner with our families in raising children who place God first in their lives.
  • We refer to the “Legacy family” from two perspectives: the nuclear family and the overall Legacy family.  We want to strengthen our “Legacy family” through teaching and equipping our students to love Christ, which they can take back and live out in their nuclear family unit.
  • We also seek to create and cultivate a larger Legacy family where our collective desire is to pursue and love Christ, and to serve and support one another.

Pursue Excellence

  • Our desire is to honor Christ with the gifts and abilities He has graciously given to each of us through pursuing excellence in all that we do.
  • We work with every student to identify their unique gifts and talents. With those specific and individual gifts in mind, we encourage, prepare, and equip them to step into the calling that God has for their life.
  • We pursue excellence because we are called to do everything as if we are doing it for the Lord, and He deserves our best. We pursue excellence to honor Him (Col. 3:23)
  • We believe the pursuit of excellence is also reflective in seeking to steward well what God has given us.

Serve Others

  • We desire to have and cultivate hearts that seek to serve others before ourselves.
  • We desire for our students to display attitudes of humility as we encourage them to learn to practice servant leadership.
  • Service and mission projects are done every year.
